Buckeye Residentials' Youth Respite Program

At Buckeye Residential, we understand the challenges parents and guardians of children with developmental disabilities face. That's why we have introduced our innovative Youth Respite Program in Portage County. This program aims to provide relief to caregivers while enhancing the lives of our youth through social interaction, skill-building, and personal growth.

Our Youth Respite Program offers:

•    Opportunities for children aged 6 to 17 with developmental disabilities 

•    A focus on positive social interaction, communication, friendship making, and independent skills 

•    Tailored activities that cater to each child's personal goals and interests 

•    Collaboration with parents and guardians to ensure the best outcomes for their child

Our program operates Wednesday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering flexibility to accommodate the needs of busy families.

Some of the Engaging Activities We Offer Include:

•    Scheduled outings in the community 

•    Holiday parties 

•    Cooking classes 

•    Personal goal-setting sessions
